Friday, 25th September - 10-20 people to help mark out the field

Saturday, 26th September - 20 people available from 7:30am to help set up gazebos and direct stallholders to their locations; 3-4 people to help sell raffle tickets; then as many people as possible to help clean up at the end of the day.

Pulborough Community Gardeners

• Volunteers are needed to help tend Pulborough's five community gardens including:
• Memorial Garden - east side of the Pulborough Village Car Park 
• Lower Street Trees in Troughs
• BT Garden
• Skyne Drive Garden
• Community Allotment

Community gardening is a great way to get some moderate exercise, spend more time outdoors, improve your mental health, build friendships and enhance your community. No gardening experience necessary!

We’re now inviting applications for a Volunteer Editor to join our small, dedicated team.

This is an opportunity to help shape a publication built on transparency, ethical journalism, and community voice. If you care about local life, fairness, and helping others tell their stories well, you may be exactly who we’re looking for.

What the Role Involves

As a Volunteer Editor, you will:

• Support contributors by reviewing drafts for clarity, accuracy, tone, and structure
• Ensure articles meet Pulborough Post’s high editorial standards
• Help maintain our commitment to transparency, fairness, and responsible reporting
• Work collaboratively with writers, photographers, and community members
• Provide constructive feedback to contributors when suggesting revisions
• Flag any legal, privacy, or sensitivity issues
• Uphold our house style and editorial values
• Contribute to the planning of future content and community features

You don’t need formal journalism training — just a steady hand, good judgement, and a genuine interest in local stories.

We’ll share our skills and experience and give you the opportunity to learn first-hand how modern community journalism works.
