Recreation Ground's Multi-Use Games Area Update

Pulborough’s Multi‑Use Games Area (MUGA) is taking another big step forward this month, with new LED floodlights being installed and fully operational soon. The upgrade, thanks to a grant from Horsham District Council, will mean brighter, more energy‑efficient lighting, improved visibility for evening sessions, and a better experience for everyone using the facility.

New LED Floodlights Coming Soon

The installation of modern LED floodlighting marks a significant improvement to the MUGA. The new system offers:

  • Clear, even lighting across the entire playing surface
  • Lower energy use and reduced running costs
  • Better reliability and improved safety for evening bookings

This upgrade will ensure the MUGA can support year‑round activity, even as the evenings draw in.

Netball And Football Bookings Open

The MUGA is open for bookings and currently available for:

  • Football training and small‑sided games
  • Netball practice and matches

Local teams, community groups, and casual players are all welcome to book sessions. The space is designed to be flexible, accessible, and suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.

Tennis Coming Soon

Work is underway to prepare the MUGA for tennis, which will be added as a new bookable sport in the near future. Full details are being finalised, and Pulborough Parish Council will share updates as soon as bookings open.

This addition will make the MUGA an even more versatile community asset, offering residents more ways to stay active close to home.

A Growing Community Facility

The MUGA continues to evolve through investment and strong community use. These improvements reflect Pulborough Parish Council’s commitment to providing high‑quality, accessible spaces for sport and recreation.
