Andrew Griffith - November Update

Welcome to November - if that is the right word. With just two months left of 2026, the turning leaves are looking amazing at the moment and the shortening days and mists are very evocative on my morning dog walk.

It is very busy in Westminster. Not just this week’s Budget (read more below), but also lots of legislation which is being debated and pushed through. Examples of this include the Courts and Tribunal’s Bill (right to a jury trial) and the Northern Ireland Troubles Bill (prosecution of veterans).

Similarly, locally this month I gave evidence at a Planning Inquiry at Horsham, speak at a village event in West Chiltington, hold my regular ‘Farm to Fork Summit’ and petition Southern Rail to bring back a suspended rail service.

Finally, please don’t forget that due to the way that the dates fall, Remembrance services are next Sunday, the 8th November, as well of course on Armistice Day itself.  With so many communities laying wreaths at the same time I cannot attend all but I will join ceremonies and services across the constituency.
